Throughout the year Keys is both a part of many events and holds many event and programs for children and families impacted by addiction in Summit County. Check out some of the fun events we’ve had and been a part of this year!
2022
Keys Holiday Toy Giveaway
December 18th, 2022
We took care of the stocking stuffers, but what about the big gifts? Keys had that covered as well! We collected over 200 larger items for families this holiday season, This event was held at our headquarters in Cuyahoga Falls. Everyone had a great time and we made sure no one left emptyhanded.
Keys Stocking Stuffer
December 15th, 2022
We were happy to be able to provide the local Akron Community with a stocking stuffer event. Through generous donations and Keys funds we were able to aquire over 1K stocking stuffer toys for families in need. From Dolls to puzzles to bubbles, there was something for kids of all ages.
Keys Christmas Event
December 4th, 2022
Our annual Christmas event was enjoyed by over 150 children/families who have been impacted by addiction in the home. We had food, crafts, Santa, ice skating, and of course ever child left with a Christmas gift! We look forward to doing this event again in 2o23!
Keys Kids Event
October 8th, 2022
Our biggest event of 2022! Over 250 kids and their families enjoyed a day of fun, love, & connection. From Snow Cones, to giant inflatable courses to a video game & sensory truck. We had it all and everyone had a blast!
International Overdose Awareness Day
August 31st, 2022
247 volunteers , representing the amount of people lost to addiction in 2021 in Summit county alone .. stood side by side on Akron Y Bridge for International Overdose Awareness Day.
Akron Pride Festival
August 27th, 2022
One of our favorite events every year is the Akron Pride Festival. We love being a part of this festival and representing Keys in the parade!
Child Support Community Event/Sponsored by the Summit Count Prosecutor

We love being part of these events, meeting new people, and growing the Keys 2 Serenity Community any way that we can.
Keys School Supply Drive & Community Healing Event
August 20th, 2022
We were happy to be to provide school supplies and over $1k in fresh produce for almost 200 families! During these event we also had a bounce house, and a few treats to keep the kids busy while the parents loaded up on supplies. We look forward to more of these events this year! A huge thank you to The House of Prayer for all People for hosting this event & Harvey’s Market for donating the produce.
Recovery Fest

We loved being part of this year’s Recovery Fest. Sharing our mission and program with the community is incredibly important to us!
National Night Out 2022

Every year we make sure we are represented at National Night Out. Days like these bring awareness to the Opioid Epidemic and to programs that assist people through the epidemic like Keys.
Yard Sale Fundraising Event
July 23rd, 2022
Valerie’s Salon in Cuyahoga Falls was generous enough to let us use their front yard for a fundrasier! We rasied almost $2,000 and everyone still left with items at bargain prices!
TCT Interview Filming

It was an honor to be invited to film for the Julie and Friends Show to talk about the work that Keys does for the community. Our Founder and Direct Brenda Ryan and Board Member Sunny Matthews did a wonderful job representing Keys!
Keys Community Pop Up Fruit Stand Giveaway
July 3rd, 2022
Harvey’s Market generously donated over $500 worth of produce for a local Produce Pop Up giveaway. This event directly impacted the East Akron Community at the Corner of Arlington Rd. & Wilbeth Rd. Thank you again to Harvey’s Market for your donation

Keys Movie Night
June 18th, 2022
We were happy to collaborate with The Linda Theater for a FREE MOVIE NIGHT, for the new LIGHTYEAR Movie! Over 200 Kids and their families attended this event! Support from people like you allow us to provide these events for the community.
Charity Night at Northfield Park
June 11th, 2022
Keys was one of 18 Charities throughout NE Ohio to be invited for dinner and behind the scenes meet and greet with the jockeys 
.. and a chance to win money for our charities! What an amazing evening! Thank you to Northfield Park for havinf this great event!
Keys New Office Grand Opening
June 10th, 2022
This year we took a huge step and secured our own office space! We had a wonderful grand opening ceremony with many special guests including: Casey Weinstein, Don Walters, Amber Crow, and more! We thank everyone who came out & 330ToGo for covering this event!
2022 Celebration of Life Awards

We were happy to be the title sponsor for The Final Farewell Project’s Celebration of Life Awards. Local community members along with the Victim Assistance Program were recognized for their work in our community.

Keys Jump With A Bunny

A wonderful time was had by all at our 2022 Easter event. This event was held at Get Air in Akron. We provided all kids and their families wirth a day of fun and family. Food, free jumping, & crafts were provided to all who attended.

Stocking Stuffer Giveaway Event!
12/16/21
We had a surplus of toys thanks to generous donations, so we decided to give them all away! We held our giveaway event in downtown Akron, open to any family in need this holiday season. The United Way even reached out to connect us with their community of families in need! We are incredibly happy to say we were able to provide over 170 Akron area kids with stocking stuffers and toys this holiday season!

Holiday Giveback Event!

This was such a great event for families who have been impacted by addiction. We provided each family with a holiday meal, $15 Acme gift card, & a toy for each kid that attended the event. We also had Santa & Mrs. Claus, games, ice skating, crafts, and refreshements! Check out all the fun we had, below!

Holly Jolly Hustle

This year we held our 1st annual ‘Holy Jolly Hustle’ charity run…or walk. This event was the prequil to our Holiday Giveback Event and all funds raised go towards Keys 2 Serenity and our programs. Even Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Walters came out and showed his support. Look at all the fund we had!

A day of love and connection.
Each year we hold a huge kids event for children affected by family substance abuse! This is a fun filled day with games, food, animal shows, a fire truck & MORE!
